We are working on this new project Turkic Lyrics. We aim to compare the text of original lyrics written in one of the Turkic languages to another.

For example, in this one a Chuvash song lyrics are compared to Turkish.

As a result a comparison text is written in a made-up language: while the syntax and grammatical frame of the original language is retained, the vocabulary and suffixes are replaced by those of the other language. We show with grey unrelated parts, with green the cognates with the same contemporary usage, and with red parts that diverged dramatically, or are used differently.
